Qualatrice Adventures New York!
For someone who loves to travel, I have never flown on an airplane. I have traveled by car, charter bus, and grey hound to various locations. So far I had the opportunity to visit Jamestown, Richmond, and Petersburg, Virginia, Wilmington, Tabor City, and Pembroke, North Carolina, Orlando and Jacksonville, Florida, Lacombe and New Orleans, Louisiana, Atlanta, Augusta, and Savannah, Georgia, and Columbia, Charleston, Hilton Head, Florence, Hartsville, Darlington, Rock Hill, Greenville, Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Conway, Georgetown, Augusta, Sumter, and of course Loris, my hometown, South Carolina.
I feel like there are so many things in the world for one to see, learn from, and take a chance with. I am young and want to see what the world has to offer. Sometimes I am afraid to take chances at things however;my fear does not last long because I end up going forward and striving for whatever I want.
This past weekend I faced my fears and flew on an air plane. I arrived to the airport 2 hrs. and 45 minutes before my flight which, I found to be very early. However, time went by quickly because I explored every sales and magazine section of the airport. Technically, I was not scared at all. I was curious and excited when the airplane began to back up and take off into the sky. On my very first flight from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to Atlanta, Georgia I was very dizzy and light headed. However, on my second flight I was feeling a lot better. When I arrived in Atlanta, I was amazed at the size of the airport and the different options available. It was almost like an inside mall. There were various restaurants, book/magazine stores, clothing stores, rest areas, express spa, and more; I was in amazement. Since I didn’t have time to get a pedicure before heading to New York, I went down to the express spa to receive a pedicure and 15 minute back massage; I loved it.
Anyway, getting back on track, I enjoyed my trip to New York (NY); I almost didn’t want it to end. There are so many things to do and explore while in the state of New York. On my visit I adventured different locations such as, Time Square, Harlem, The Village, China Town, and more. Right now I am so tired and drained from all the walking and heat I have encountered. Being that I am from the south, I should be used to the heat however; down in the subway is a different type of hotness. It can become very muggy and hot. The only thing I like about the heat there is that there is no humidity.
I do enjoy living down south on the coast however; I find New York to be very interesting.
