While at work today one of my employees said something that placed me into thought. We were talking about life and how much free time we actually have. She mentioned to another manager and me that as full time workers in retail our schedules are all over the place and we don't have a great deal time to enjoy things

Elements of Doing It

Today someone asked me, "How do you do it?" Meaning how do I continue to get up every day and maintain a busy schedule. My first response to her was, "I just do it." After returning home in June from my summer trip to Europe I entered back into something I like to call reality: summer internship, part time job, a summer class, and finding time to study for class. One thing I suggested to my inquiring friend was to stop and say a prayer or motivational quote  from time to time because it really helps me to make it through each day especially when I feel like giving up.

Since my friend stuck me with her question, my mind has been racing with the things that drive me and keeps me motivated.

My first element is self motivation. Having self motivation allows me to push myself forward. Without motivation I would not be where I am today. Sometimes you have to encourage yourself when no one else is there to do so. There are times when I literally stop and quote to myself, "when you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long."  This quote helped me to push my way through college and it is helping me push myself in a positive direction that could be very beneficial when it comes to my career.
There is a quote and inspirational saying for whatever one may be going through therefore, I believe everyone should have some saying/sayings that helps to get him or her through the day.

My second element is believing in me. Believing in myself keeps me going. You first have to believe in yourself before anyone else can. This all falls down to believing that you can do anything you set your mind to. If you really want something in life you have to work hard and smart to get it.

My third element is confidence. Having confidence in yourself and the things you do can only make you stronger. Without confidence there is no motive and belief in whatever you are trying to do. Confidence says and shows a lot about a person through facial expressions and body movements. Always wear your confidence even when you have a little doubt about yourself.

Ready To See The World

After going on my two week adventure to France and Spain I have the urge to head back to France and live for six months or even a year. I have always had the urge to travel and now that I have gone international I am ready to do it again. There are so many things in the world to see and I want to see them all. Now that I am on the edge of finishing college the road is wide open for me with no limitations. I will admit that sometimes I am afraid of change but change is good in different aspects of life. With that being said, I am ready to see the different changes of life head my way. Live Love Life.

Aaliyah

Aaliyah is one of my favorite R&B singers. When I was younger she was my idle. I thought she had an incredible voice along with crazy and amazing dance moves. Along with my cousin Crystal, we learned all of her dance moves and performed them to our cousins and anyone that would pay us any attention.

For someone who loves to travel, I have never flown on an airplane. I have traveled by car, charter bus, and grey hound to various locations. So far I had the opportunity to visit Jamestown, Richmond, and Petersburg, Virginia, Wilmington, Tabor City, and Pembroke, North Carolina, Orlando and Jacksonville, Florida, Lacombe and New Orleans, Louisiana, Atlanta, Augusta, and Savannah, Georgia, and Columbia, Charleston, Hilton Head, Florence, Hartsville, Darlington, Rock Hill, Greenville, Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Conway, Georgetown, Augusta, Sumter, and of course Loris, my hometown, South Carolina.

Within the last 72 hours Japan has undergone three substantial attacks: an earthquake, tsunami, and 3 nuclear explosions.

The disasters began on March 11, 2011(JST) with a massive 8.9/9.0 magnitude earthquake that hit the Pacific Ocean nearby Northeastern Japan around 2:46pm.  The substantial earth quake triggered the tsunami and later led to explosions nuclear plants.  Because of this disaster half a million of Japanese families have been forced out of their home.

Let It Snow!

It's rare for the south to see snow. However, earlier this year in February 2010,
snow traveled through the areas of South Carolina.

Today, the day after Christmas, many people woke up to a blanket of white snow!
I went to bed knowing it was going to snow but, I still woke up in amazement.
